5 Tips and Quotes for The Best Kind of Love

I have four thought provoking questions for you.
- What does self-love mean to you?
- What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of this word?
- Is it something you actively practice regularly?
- Do you find this easy or hard to do?
I recently contributed to an article on this topic which you can check out here. I can’t emphasize how important it is to value your own happiness and well-being. It truly is the best thing you can do for yourself. Your relationships are so much richer as a result too! Here are some simple ways to give yourself some love on the daily.
5 Simple Ways to Engage in Self love
1. Practice self-compassion
Generously extend kindness and compassion in times when you feel inadequate, perceive failure or other shortcomings.
2. Embrace your humanity
No one is perfect. Set reasonable expectations of yourself and keep trying your best.
3. Take care of your health
Engage in activities that nurture your overall health and well-being. Remember that well-being is multidimensional and includes your spiritual, emotional, physical, financial, and aspect of your life.
4. Rid yourself of anything toxic in your life
Remove anything poisonous that creates a great deal of distress for you. The beauty of this is you have the power to decide what those toxins are. For some, it’s excessive use of social media, toxic relationships, even unhealthy foods.
5. Speak up!
You are your biggest advocate. Express yourself authentically and set boundaries that honor your needs.
